I heard alot of good thing about this, but it dosent have good coverage at all... I use a kabuki brush with it but it dosent cover anything and it looks dry on my, like I dont have anything glow in my face.. I have tried the other formulas too.
My face is combination, with red cheeks and oily t-sone and some few spots. really ennoying because this is a alternative too the bare minerals one.

I don't use Mineral foundation anymore but, this is a great one. I think this is better then Bare Minerals by far. It has great converage and it's stay power is better. If anyone asked me to recommend a mineral fondation this would be it. Is is smooth and makes your skin look flawless but real. You can't tell you have foundation on.

A bit more detailed description of my skin: I've got surface dry yet oily skin. I've got enlarged pores on my cheeks, the evenness of my skin color depends on how well I've cared for it, I usually have redness on my cheeks and chin, and I do break out but mostly for hormonal reasons. My skin is a bit sensitive.
I've used semi-matte, matte and intensive bases. All of them have worked with me though intensive is something I use when my skin is in good condition and I need the extra shine/blemish control. Excellent for summers, as my skin is in it's best condition and the weather is quite hot and humid. Though, I have used the intensive when my skin has been the most flakiest and driest but it's not something I normally prefer. Semi-matte/matte are for those occasions because of the lighter feeling it gives for my face.
It's kinda funny how well the intensive and well, all the other bases too, hide all the flakes and signs of dryness even though they are powders. Creams and liquids won't work with me when the surface of my skin is just too damn dry yet these work as a charm and they don't leave my skin look ashy either. With this formula though, you gotta be even more careful to not overdo the application. You don't need that much foundation and the drier your skin is the less buffing is better. If you use too much or over buff it, it gives you that odd waxy/shiny look and makes the dryness of your skin show. Also I've noticed I need a primer or some sort of finishing powder to conceal my pores as all these formulas tend to show them more prominently.
The price is right for the amount/quality vs. all the other products available in my country.

For reference, I'm NC 15 with golden undertones and my perfect match is Golden Fair. I tried the matte formula years ago and hated it because it exacerbated my oily skin and made my face itch. So a couple years ago, I bought the Golden Fair pressed compact and it was the first MMU that I actually used right down to the pan while I was on Accutane. I didn't think it bothered my skin at the time, even though I was still breaking out on Accutane, but when I stopped the Accutane after my 6 month course and changed to Larenim pressed base, my skin suddenly completely cleared up, so I'm thinking that my skin didn't like the pressed version, even though it didn't have anything harmful in it. When my oily skin came back, i tried the pressed compact again and had to return it because it transferred like crazy and broke me out again.
So, long story short, desperation made me turn back to trying EDM again since the Golden Fair shade matched my skin tone so perfectly and I really liked the coverage of the pressed compact. I'm on my second course of Accutane now, so I'm not worrying about controlling my oil at the moment because I'm bone dry, he he.
I'll update if this breaks me out, but I just wanted to review saying that the coverage is pretty good, but it's not "heavy" or "maximum coverage". For me with my current acne and post acne scarring, I need several coats to get the coverage I want, but I am impressed that it still looks incredibly natural with 3 or 4 coats (after using a concealer brush on trouble areas). The color is really my perfect match and the finish is satin---not matte like the web site states. I imagine that with oily skin, this foundation would melt right off, so beware of that.
Also, right after I placed my order for EDM, I got samples of Lauress Cosmetics and fell in love, so right now I'm using the EDM until my full sized order of Lauress comes in. If you're looking for some seriously heavy duty, but natural looking coverage, then look no further than Lauress' Ethereal foundation. It's simply amazing and for the 3 days that I wore it all over my face (sample sizes aren't that big), my skin actually started calming down and clearing up a bit. Gentle Ivory is my match, but EDM's Golden Fair matches slightly better because it has a stronger gold undertone. So, if anything, now that I have EDM's foundation in the full size and if I find that it doesn't break me out, I can put a light layer over the Lauress foundation to add more gold, but I probably won't bother because the Ivory is really close enough. I'll keep EDM as a back up for now since the color is spot on.
I'll update with any conclusive results.
****UPDATE**** After a week of using this product all over my face, along with the rest of my Lauress Ethereal Foundation applied as a concealer to trouble areas, my skin has cleared up tremendously! All the negative reviews of this product since the formula changed kind of scared me off to fully accepting this product, but I'm so happy that I tried it again, anyway. For me, my skin was completely flipping out prior to me using this product and now after only one week of regular use, I only have 1 pimple and all the tiny white bumps that were over every milimeter of my face have completely smoothed out and disappeared. I'm amazed and am so incredibly happy. I just got my Lauress order in the mail with my full sized foundation, so I'll probably use it as a concealer and the EDM foundation all over the rest of my face, since I know it doesn't irritate my skin, but actually seems to be improving it. I never thought I'd be able to say that! I always thought the "anti-inflammatory" claims of MMU companies were exaggerated.
This foundation is definitely worth a try!

I bought a too dark/olive shade for my winter nc35 skin but i just mix half with half of the matte EM base I have and it gives a great coverage for a powder! seriously, i didn't think a powder could cover quite so much of my pimples, acne scars and skin pigmentation. I moisturised really well with a moisturising primer, then & applied with the EM flat top kabuki. I really enjoy buffing this into my skin. It creates a flawless base. I then the EM concealer brush to pat on some of the EM intensive concealer (this doesn't cover that well, but then again its just another layer of powder over trouble spots. I finish with the EM finshing veil. I highly rec that product to give the face a natural soft focus finish. Spritz with a littel bit of aveene thermal spring water to set mu & i;m done. Seriously this covers & evens my complexion as well as liquid foundation. It also wears better so that at the end of the day my makeup still looks a heap better than liquid foundation. Highly rec Everday minerals, particualry the intensive base for oily/acne prone skin for some serious duty coverage. continued >>

This is a MUST for people who have Rosacea like me. My skin was irritated and getting bumps from liquid foundations, even the Oil-free ones, and I was at my wit's end when I stumbled upon Everyday Minerals. I got the free + shipping trial pack and found my HG match in the Intensive formula. The other formulas don't give me enough coverage on my cheeks, which are very prone to redness and being rash-y looking. The intensive formula covers up my redness 95% of the way, which is amazing. It even gives better coverage than liquid foundation does, but feels very light on, I don't feel like I'm wearing a mask at all, which is how liquid foundation felt on me. I apply it to the top of my cheeks and alone the planes of my face with a blush brush-Ecotools- and then I put some more on my Ecotools mini kabuki brush and buff it out along the edges of my face and my outer cheeks.
The only con I'd say is that it can give a powdery appearance to the top of your skin if you have very dry skin like me. I usually have to wear lotion underneath to stop this and it works most of the time. To be honest, the coverage I get from this more than makes up for the slightly dry effect it makes.
Anyway, I'm NC15-20 in Mac, Revlon Colorstay "Buff" and in EDM wear "Fair" in Winter and "Fairly Light" in Spring/Summer.

I'm sorry to say but I'm joining the "disappointed club". I was using EM for 2 years, loved it, was my favorite brand. I got bases, shadows, blushes, brushes and lipsticks from them and was fairly happy with everything, specially foundation and brushes. And I got so many complements for my skin! All my friends wanted to know what foundation I'm using and buy the same. Yes, I had to use a primer to keep it from patching and to apply smoothly, but that was it. But then I started to get these breakouts on my neck line, deep, painful, and they would not go away for long. I stopped using EM and they disappeared, but I would not give up on EM so easily! So sometime later I tried again, I started using EM, and breakouts came back almost immediately. And I repeated my experiment again.. There is now no doubt in my mind that they were caused by EM. And I don't know what happened, did they change the formula, or my skin just got "tired" of it.. But I don't think that is because lauroyl lysine, that ingredient is in many products (toners, eye shadows, powders) and I never got any reactions to that.
So - 5 stars if you don't get those break outs, and using a primer. But for me, it is useless now, and it's a pity.

Its great foundation provides heavier coverage and is great for oily skin BUT you need to know how to use it and what cream to use under! It took me some time and gave me some trouble to find my best way.
If you wont moisturize your skin really good, this will extremely dry your skin! Also while using it with dry brush it gives me cakey effect, so I can use it only with wet brush-then it looks natural and cover everything.
The key I think is in the way you put it on your face. Now Im using it as concealer because I just dont need that heavy coverage and it works very well.
Package is not the most useful.
Ì used it with everyday minerals long handled kabuki.

Wow!!!! I love this stuff - it is amazing and worth every penny. I have oily skin and have tried so many different powder foundations (MAC Studio fix, Estee Lauder Double Wear, Givenchy powder foundation, BE Matte, Bellapierre, Lancome, Sheer Cover, Benefit, Nars) and liquid ones (MAC Studio fix fluid, Clinique Superfit, Nars Matte) in my quest to find the perfect one to keep my skin looking matte and flawless all day. I have finally found my HG foundation in EM!!! I have good skin but do prefer a slightly more medium - full coverage and this is perfect. The coverage is buildable, so you can apply a bit for medium coverage or some more for full coverage. I got my order yesterday and couldn't wait to try it - i wasn't sure what shade i would be and as the price is so reasonable - i ordered the golden medium, light olive and medium olive shades. I have to say that the range of shades are fantastic - there is something for everyone i think. I have tried the shades individually ans as they are from the same colour group, i reckon i can use all of them individually and mix them if i want for a perfect match. I also know that these colours will last me all year round which is brilliant. I feel like i'm going on a bit, but i just want all the oily girls to know how amazing this stuff is. After moisturising i apply Benefits Dr Feelgood and then this with the EM flat top brush (which is now another HG product for me!!!). I then set with the EM Yellow Bamboo powder to finish. The results are beautiful - flawless coverage that lasts and keeps oil at bay.
I am so happy with this :-) xxx

I tried EM because of the glowing reviews. I started out with samples and I loved it... BUT... that was during the fall/winter season. My oily/combination skin tends to behave during the colder months and the EM looked great, treated my skin well (not too drying), and I was happy. THEN summer comes along and oil production goes into overdrive. The same foundation was beginning to slide off my face. To alleviate this problem, I had to use primer with each application and had to blot and reapply in the afternoon. But if you reapply, it ends up looking caked on in a few short hours. Unfortunately, the primer would occasionally make me break out so I put EM on hiatus until next cold spell... except for their blush and eye shadows. Overall... great product but oily complexions need to take extra precautions to make sure product stays gorgeous. Coverage is average and you have to layer to get absolutely coverage for any blemishes. Would totally recommend you trying it out for yourself by starting off with their inexpensive samples/kits. They could work on the packaging though. Heard some complaints about containers falling apart and I've had some instances where the caps did break apart.

I used to love EMs mineral foundation. I used it for 4 years, and I absolutely loved it, but suddenly they started putting lauroyl lysine in their products and I started breaking out. Now their foundations are completely useless to me.

I have been using EDM for 2 years and I just placed an order about 2 months ago and haven't received my products, I've tried to contact them they just tell oh it must still be on it's way. I've asked for a refund have heard nothing back from them. It's a shame I loved the foundation but i wouldn't order off them again. As you don't get what you pay for, and they don't offer to refund or re-ship the order.

Ive tried so many things and this is the one!!! perfect coverage! I do need to reapply though because of my oily skin. but it absorbs oil and my skin feels clean. I am going to buy this again

I've been using this foundation for about 5 years now, since Everyday Minerals first came out with their intensive formula. It is by far my favourite foundation. The colour Golden Fair perfectly matches my fair and slightly yellow-undertoned skin, and it provides great coverage that lasts the whole day. What I love about this company's foundations is that you can't even feel them on your face. With normal foundation I feel like I'm wearing a mask-- this just feels like my skin. It's easy to apply and blend with a kabuki brush, and as my skin gets a bit of a tan for the summer, it's easy to mix in a little bit of a darker colour and create the perfect one for my skin tone.
I use the foundation as a concealer as well (none of their concealers match my skin tone very well) and it works well for that purpose too.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. If you tend to have acne prone and combination to oily skin then this product it perfect!!
This product feels so light on the skin that I literally feel like I'm not wearing anything. It makes my skin look and feel so soft and smooth. The coverage it pretty good. I use their concealer with this and it covers my acne pretty well. I use their flat top kabuki brush (which is also another great product!) which gives a more fuller coverage rather than a round top kabuki.
The product is a matte formula but its not so matte to the point where it looks dull. On those days where I put on a little bit more, I just use their lucent face to give me a glow.
The price is pretty good. If you think about it, it goes for about the same price as Loreal Bare Minerale foundation which is a drugstore product.
Overall this product is great!- good coverage, good price, didnt make me break out, light weight and long lasting!
    I LOVE THIS STUFF!

I really, really wanted to like this product. It's more affordable than many other mineral products. It has good coverage that's not cakey. Unfortunately, it gave me whiteheads. My skin's acne-prone, but I've never gotten many tiny whiteheads around my cheeks until I used this :(
I won't be buying this product again.

I've been using EDM for a few years and I LOVE IT!!! I have acne prone skin so coverage is important to me but my skin also needs to breath. This product delivers on both counts. Even if I do have a spot EDM does not further irritate it like liquid foundations can. The intensive formula is highly pigmented, matte finish giving you full coverage but your skin still feels light. Sometimes I forget I'm wearing make up at all! It is important to moisturize well as it is with all mineral make up because you will not be happy with the results if your skin is dry and flaky. The intensive formula is recommended for photos as it does not have the "sparkle" in it that some of their other formulas have. The full size pots are very generous and lasts a long time so don't be put off that you have to pay shipping, you will still come up on top with this product! EDM has such a wide range of colors it's very difficult not to find a perfect match. The product goes on quickly and easily. It's very easy to blend all the way down into your neck and chest area to give you an even appearance. Overall I cannot fault this product.

i have to kinda agree with the post below mine - it is pretty life changing makeup! i ordered the samples in light and medium since im transitioning from winter -> spring -> summer. ive never used bare minerals before so i don't have a comparison between the two, but wow, this stuff is magic. since ive gotten this, ive put all my other foundations and concealers in the make-up-that's-not-used-so-much box. i tend to just use the intensive base as a concealer - i love how easy it is to do my makeup in the morning.. minerals trump liquid for ease of application! it has great coverage too - pimples or red patches are no problem. as far as i know, the ingredients are pretty natural, and there's only a few - nothing that irritates the skin like some other mineral makeup. the sample sizes are small, but they last!!! i don't see me needed to place an order for more any time soon, and best of all the first sample you get is free! so you really are only paying for shipping. i'm still figuring out the best color for my skin tone (and boy! do they have a lot of colors to choose from - there's a EM for everyone!) and I switch from intensive- matte. All this praise, but the true test will come this summer since i live in a pretty humid place, makeup tends to come off quicker than i can put it on. perhaps the perfect primer can solve that problem?! conclusion: cheap and wonderful - buy it! continued >>

Everyday Mineral's Intensive base foundation has been LIFE-CHANGING for me! I have sort of combination skin, the primary issue being OIL. I used to wear primer, liquid foundation, and mineral foundation, and still, nothing helped. I'd have to blot my face within an hour, and completely reapply my mineral makeup within 4 hours. When my face would get oily, it felt like my make-up was sitting on my face like a mask. I couldn't stand it!
Then, I got my Everyday Minerals foundation samples. I ordered the Medium and Olive sample kits, and Buttered Tan fit me perfectly. I was tanning at the time, so by the time that sample ran out, my Sandy Medium ended up matching perfectly. This is the first time in my life I can say I ONLY wear mineral foundation, and barely any of it. A small amount of this foundation works wonders. It has cleared my skin and complexion up almost 360 in just three weeks. I am AMAZINGLY happy with this foundation! And the samples surprisingly last a long time. I wore this to a concert, and after 8 hours it looked flawless. Some days when it's humid I have to blot my face, but thats nothing. It covers flaws and red spots on my face perfectly. I do notice that if I wear my Hard Candy primer, it helps the foundation stay put even longer & better!
I would HIGHLY recommend this foundation to anyone, especially someone with oil and/or acne prone skin. I can't wait until my full sizes come in the mail! And for only $12 for a full size. That's the same price as drug store foundation. Incredible! continued >>

Well it's time for EDM and I to part company. I've been using EDM foundation for many years 5+ and was sure I would never use anything else. It went on smooth, lasted all day, didn't look like I was wearing makeup, no caking, perfect. I liked all the foundation formulations too (apart from pressed) and used them for different looks (o'glow for a natural look, semi for work, matte for evening and intensive in the summer etc). I stocked up (took advantage of the bulk buy discounts so I have not had to reorder since they changed their ingredients.
So I ran out and ordered another lot, and to my horror it's completely different! It goes on evenly but looks like a mask (bought all the formulations, even o'glow looks fake) and then after about an hour it goes caking and blotchy and I can see patches, especially on my nose, where the makeup kind of congeals, yuk. I tried using primers and finishing powders to prevent this but to no avail.
I emailed EDM asking if they still had any old stock or if they would consider making a batch [as I know from this forum and elsewhere that many of you don't like the new formulation with lauroyl lysine] but they never replied (not surprising given their customer service!). So I felt I should share this experience as I think many readers may purchase EDM based on reviews of the old foundation - which was awesome.
I've moved on Silk Naturals which hasn't been around as long as EDM and is (so far) very good indeed. Can't get a good colour match from any others e.g. Lily Lolo so this was the obvious choice. I used EDM golden medium in winter and olive medium in summer so need yellow and green undertones).
    I hope this helps!
